Welcome to Westlake
Refined rural living for those who appreciate the finer things in life
Comprised of several charming communities, Westlake delivers a great setting, just enough removed from the Dallas metropolitan area to feel peaceful yet close enough to all the big-city amenities you may wish for. Each HOA-governed neighborhood has its own distinctive personality, and they offer a range of home styles and sizes. A sought-after neighborhood, Westlake is also home to the renowned Westlake Academy.
Homes in Carlyle Court have up to 1.5 acres and are well-connected to the Westlake trail system, while you’ll find even more acreage in Mahotea Boone. The mixed-use development of Entrada offers townhomes, villas, and condos in a Catalonian style. Posh and private, Glenwyck Farms sits on over 100 wooded acres for a serene, rural feel. The neighborhood park adds to the rustic appeal with its babbling brook, bridges, and walking paths. From the five-acre lots in Aspen Lane to the expansive Terra Bella gated community that surrounds a Tom Fazio-designed golf course, Westlake has a home for all tastes.

Local Lifestyle
Formerly quiet ranch land, the Westlake area has been reimagined in an upscale residential style in recent years. Families live in custom-built luxury homes in one of several private communities. Residents have access to jogging and biking paths, clubhouses, pools, and more, making each gated neighborhood feel like its own small town.
Just minutes from downtown Fort Worth, downtown Dallas, and the DFW Airport, Westlake offers homeowners a residential, rural Texas community feel, but with access to the conveniences of Tarrant and Denton counties and the greater Dallas metroplex. Several Fortune 500 companies are among the local employers. Former pro sports athletes and captains of industry choose Westlake for its community-conscious feel and treasured quality of life. Everyone comes together for annual events, including holiday tree lightings, Arbor Day celebrations, Memorial Day observations, and more.
Dining, Entertainment & Shopping
A small variety of delectable eateries can be found within the Westlake town limits — plus, residents have quick and easy access to the Metroplex’s countless culinary choices. For Brooklyn-style pizza, don’t miss Pizzeria La Scala, family-owned and operated and churning out the best pies and Italian food in town. Start with the blue mussels or the fried ravioli, then order a “Fuhgedaboudit,” a specialty pizza of mini meatballs, ricotta cheese, parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, and marinara sauce.
The Fish & Knife satisfies your sushi and sashimi cravings, as well as offering traditional soups, appetizers, salad, hibachi, teriyaki, tempura, and more. Starwood Cafe at Trophy Club is a local favorite for its decadent breakfasts (loaded omelets, Belgian waffles, and savory benedicts). HG SPLY Co. caters to foodies who want well-sourced, minimally processed, perfectly proportioned food in a chic setting. Try the tuna tostadas, shaved Brussels salad, or one of their famous bowls, based on “hunted” and “gathered” ingredients from grilled Texas gulf shrimp to baby kale.
Westlake is convenient to high-end shopping in Southlake, Trophy Club, Keller, and Roanoke, with all the top brands you seek and some fantastic boutique finds. Head to Southlake Town Square for upscale fashions from Free People and 7 for All Mankind or delightful home goods at Manor Home & Furnishings and Sugarboo & Co.
Things to Do
Adding to its serene, small-town appeal, Westlake boasts the park at Glenwyck Farms, 13.5 acres of open space for residents to recreate and relax. Under towering oak and pecan trees, the park sits within the private Glenwyck Farms community.
Golfers enjoy easy access to Trophy Club Country Club, considered by Avid Golfer as one of the best clubs in the DFW area. Tee off on the Ben Hogan-designed course or the challenging Whitworth Course, or use the chipping/wedge practice area, putting area, or single-level hitting deck. Members can also enjoy tennis, swimming, and dining within this welcoming club.
Another great golf go-to, the Vaquero Golf Club, is perennially ranked as one of the DFW Metroplex’s top two country clubs. This is the type of place you can wile away the day on the golf course, fishing with your kids, or mingling with neighbors at upscale social events. This intimate, utterly private community is set within a rolling hillside and offers a 42,000-square-foot clubhouse and Tom Fazio-designed golf course.
For those who prefer the court to the greens, Vaquero provides four championship tennis and pickleball courts for perfecting your game or taking lessons.
While you’re here, don’t miss the private Vaquero Spa for pampering, the Clubhouse for inspired seasonal dining and its incredible wine list, or the pro shop for fitness apparel, casual wear, and home accessories.
